Deck/Pole bracket supplied with Dual Lock adhesive for simple and secure fixing to the deck of ILCAs and many other classes.
Can be fixed to a spinnaker pole with the pole adaptors supplied in the box.
Description
ATTACHING TO THE RACE CRADLE
For all fixing methods, first attach the Race Cradle using the nuts and bolts supplied with the compass. There are 6 fixing positions allowing for different mounting heights; attach as low down as possible whilst allowing sufficient clearance for contrai lines to pass under. .
DECK FIXING WITH DUAL LOCK
Locate a suitable position on the deck and clean with acetone or equivalent. Using the Dual-Lock self-adhesive pads provided, remove the protective film and fix four pads to the underside of the bracket. Add four pads on top by pressing firmly. Remove the protective film then press firmly onto the deck at the desired position. Keep the remaining pads as spares.
DECK FIXINO WITH SCREWS
Locate a suitable position on the deck and pre-drill the four 2mm diameter holes. Apply Sikaflex or equivalent (not provided) into the holes then use the screws provided with the compass to fix the bracket to the deck. Do not over-tighten as this will stress the bracket.
POLE FIXINO (CATAMARANS WITH 40MM SPI POLE)
Press the adaptors onto the underside of the bracket. Place the assembly on the spinnaker pole and fix with tie straps and/or electrical tape (not provided).
