Optiparts Optimist buoyancy pads are made of polyurethane coated nylon and are about half the weight and significantly stronger than PVC or nylon coated PVC buoyancy bags. Some buoyancy bags are available with a lockable tube valve. This valve is attached to a piece of tubing. With this valve, the bag can be easily and quickly inflated and deflated.

The 48 liter buoyancy bags are slightly heavier than the 43 liter buoyancy bags, but after a capsize, there is much less water in the boat. Locking tube valve.
